“The present moment is an embodied realization. Accessing the power of presence is more than a physical experience – it is the alignment of body, mind, and spirit with the Source.” - Kim Eng
Description:

Presence Through Movement with Kim Eng is an immersive practice for awakening to a state of pure presence through the portal of our physical form as human beings. This powerful, yet simple practice draws elements from the ancient teachings of qigong, tai chi, and yoga, and incorporates the spiritual insights of Kim’s teaching partner, Eckhart Tolle, into a unique progression of self-inquiry, contemplation, movement, and meditation, combined with a follow-up question-and-answer session.

During a Presence Through Movement workshop Kim guides us on a journey into awareness through the body and through movement beyond the conceptual mind–where we explore sensations, emotions, and thought processes arising from our inner reality. Following Kim’s specially-designed sequences of movements and meditative poses, we learn how to clear, cultivate, and circulate vital energy throughout the entire body, and balance action with stillness. Through these practices we discover ways we may have been unconsciously resisting the present moment, and how to become more open, spacious, and accepting.

Kim shares her unique gift in working with what Eckhart refers to as the pain-body—old emotional wounds that can create some of the most challenging obstacles to awakening—by showing us how to release and transmute it through the power of presence. In this way, the pain-body can become a helpful ally in support of our awakening to the transcendent dimension of consciousness.

Presence Through Movement enables us to return to wholeness and inner balance, resulting in an ease and flow with the present moment. It aligns us with our true nature, which is awareness or consciousness.

Note: no prior experience with yoga, tai chi, or other body-based spiritual practices is needed for participation. Please bring your own yoga mat, cushion, and any other yoga props you may need (such as a yoga block, bolster, or blanket). Loose, comfortable clothing (suitable for yoga) is recommended.

“Kim brings a down-to-earth approach to spirituality which I find very refreshing. In her counseling work with individuals as well as groups, she beautifully sustains the state of Presence and has a great ability for bringing people back into the present moment, the place where all healing occurs and no problem can survive.”  - Eckhart Tolle
