To reserve a place on a workshop, you can pay a £30 non-refundable deposit or the full amount. If paying a deposit, the full amount must be paid at least one week before the workshop. Preferably, please pay by debit/credit card via this website.

If for some reason you are unable to pay online, you can also pay by cheque/postal order, payable to Alternatives. Send to our office with your name, postal and email addresses, and mobile number. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope and send a separate cheque for each workshop. You can also book a workshop by telephoning our office.

Our workshops are often full - if you have not booked, please do not turn up on the day without having first checked with us that there are places available, either by ringing the office on the Friday before the workshop or by checking the website to see if the workshop states 'sold out'. Concessions are for the unwaged (full-time students, over 60's, and those in receipt of government benefits, including jobseekers allowance but excluding working tax/child tax credits). If you are applying for a concessionary place, please send photocopied proof of status to our office. Go to top.
